Marsala Irish Dulce
2019 Palomino Mare
Paddys Gin Sage JW x Marsala Red
Dulce is by The King Ranch's own stallion, Marsala Red. Marsala was born, bred and broke on the Kind Ranch, MARSALA RED is a ninth-generation descendant of OLD SORREL. Rolando Silguero, who used to serve as King Ranch’s Remudero (wrangler) for the horse operation, would demonstrate MARSALA RED’s polite demeanor by saddling MARSALA and gather the stallion’s own mare band. MARSALA is almost a mirror image of HIRED HAND, a top son of OLD SORREL.MARSALA RED is a son of PLAY RED, $136,088: split 4th NCHA Super Stakes Open Classic; 5th Polo Ranch Cutting 4-Year-Old Open Derby; Abilene Spectacular Non-Pro Classic Co-Reserve Champion; finalist in the NCHA Non-Pro Derby; El Cid Cutting 4-Year-Old Non-Pro Co-Reserve Champion. The sire of PLAY RED SALLY ($5,184 and 16 AQHA points: and 14 novice points: AQHA World Level 2 Amateur Barrel Racing Reserve Champion), ROYAL RED PLAY ($90,820: NCHA Western Nationals Non-Pro Champion).
Her dam is our Paddys Gin Sage JW whom we have high opinion of. We acquired her as as weanling from Woroniecki Ranch Quarter Horses in Hebron ND. We used her for a few years before breeding her. This is her 2nd foal and we are extremely pleased! Her sire was raised on the Tongue River and is a son of Paddys Irish Whiskey out of a Tanquery Gin daughter. Her dam is a 84% foundation bred out of the Grantier program in Montana. We love how much bone Sage is putting on her babies along with their quick feet and good brains.
This filly is a keeper for us! We are excited to see what she does in the future. So far we are extremely impressed with her stoutness, bone, quickness and "go" disposition.
UPDATE: 4/14/2022
Dulce had 60 days of training put on her this past summer. Her family of horses is VERY proven. We have raised her to be a replacement broodmare for us. She has been preg checked in foal to Jack for a 2023 foal. This foal will be heavily King Ranch influenced so we are looking forward to that.

Beautiful Breeze-SOLD
2005 Bay Broodmare
Breezy Sinn x Some Dasher
BB is an own daughter of Some Dasher, a son of Dash For Cash. Dash For Cash sired 751 winners that earned $37,386,838 and defined QH racing. Some Dasher earned $200,806 along with being a Graded Stakes Winner. Some Dasher's dam was Some Romance, daughter of Fleet Kirsch (TB $178,375). Her dam was a daughter of Go Man Go, which would be off BB's papers one spot. Needless to say BB is packed with legendary racers on her top side.
Her bottom side is just as impressive. BB's dam is Breezy Sinn which is a daughter of famous Sinn Fein ($51,088). Sinn Fein is the grandsire of Mr Jess Perry. Her bottom also includes Leo just off her papers twice.
BB was an excelling barrel horse before her she had a stifle injury. She was bred by that owner and had a Traffic Guy colt in 2018. We bought her in 2018 bred and she had a beautiful bay filly for us in 2019 by Cats Hillbilly. She was open for 2020 due to the stallion she was exposed to passed away and as we found out was sterile. She gave us a very fancy 2021 dun colt by our 93% foundation bred stallion, Captain Handy, who went to be a head horse and barrel horse potentially. We exposed her to him again for 2022, but unfortunately she didn't take out in the pasture and by the time we figured that out, it was too late to try again. With us she has been live covered/hand bred only. The previous owner AI'd her.
UPDATE 10-14-21: She does require a caslicks and more hands on breeding maintence than pasture breeding. She would be best suited for an AI program. She 5 Panel pending. She is an absolute doll to handle, great ground manners. My 8 year old twin boys can handle her. She loads and unloads great. Stands tied. Never has she tried to kick, bite or even pin ears at us. She is middle of the pecking order. Great mama. Will do a good job protecting her baby from others, but not crazy either. She milks like a milk cow. She has foaled out in the pasture with us no assistance. She raises a good minded baby. All 3 of her foals every person brags about how good minded they are and all 3 have been by different stallions. Good feet, stands for farrier without sedation. Will stand to be checked by vet without sedation. She is very laid back, I haven't seen her get in a hurry or excited about anything. We love this mare, she just isn't making us money in a pasture breeding environment and we aren't set up for AI'ing and don't want to AI.

Silvers Baby Fitz-DECEASED
2000 Sorrel Mare
Mini Fitz x Zan Silver Pay
Fitz is a beautiful 14 hand mare with that Doc Bar baby doll head. She raises quality foals with good minds and easy going dispositions.
She is a granddaughter of Zan Silver Parr who was George Strait's herd sire and rope horse. He is an AQHA money earning son of Zan Barr Bar. She is also a granddaughter of Doc Fitz. Although he was a NCHA money earner, his bigger accomplishment was being a producer of NCHA $199,000+. His daughters themselves have produced NCHA $136,000+ and NRHA $20,000+. He is an own son of Doc Bar. She is packed with an amazing pedigree!
Her 2016 filly was sold as a barrel/rope prospect and they love her. Her 2017 filly in in N TX on a ranch and buyer tells me she takes everything he throws at her in stride and is the most laid back and trainable 3 year old he has ever come across. Her 2018 colt we had the chance to purchase back and he is the most easy going young horse. Nothing seems to get to him. He is trainable, smart, responsive, and is built right with the right tools to become a jam up heel prospect or calf prospect. He currently is in calf rope horse and barrel training. Her 2019 filly (also full sibling to all of the previous ones) was purchased as a weanling and is in S TX as a ranch versatility prospect.
She lost her pregnancy for a 2020 foal. She was exposed to Captain Handy for a 2021 foal, but did not take. The vet has examined her but due to her age her endometrum is becoming slick and the chances of her carrying a pregnancy to full term are slim. We are currently evaluating our options, but she is in great body condition and we did go ahead and expose her to Jack for a 2022 baby. Fitz had a little red dun filly 3/12/22. This filly is outstanding.
UPDATE 2023: Fitz had a wonderful 23 years of life and the last 7 were with us! We are so blessed to have had this mare for as long as we did. She gave us 5 foals and we have kept 2 of them for ourselves as personal horses. We LOVED her offspring no matter who the sire was. Rest easy ole' girl!
